A while back,
Thorsten asked me if I could give him a hand with a
30's police car / ambulance, as part of his upcoming
"Arkham Asylum" MOC, due sometime between the 3rd and 10th of October. As you can imagine, It's just a huge honor for me to be a part of it!
So I took this perfect opportunity to build something that has been on my mind for a long time, the
30's Ford Model A, in minifig scale - above, the wagon version. I've set my challenge to resolve some the particularities of the cars of that age, like those 3D angled sides, the variation of widths along the car's body and not to forget, that little windscreen "kepi"-like shield.
The cars roll, they fit a driver and I've tried to pack as much detailing goodness as my skills allow it at this point, as I really want them to live up to the expectations of a Xenomurphy MOC. Also, I'd like to pay all my respect to
Karwik, I've learned (a lot?) about tube building by watching his fantastic trucks and cars.
Well that being said, just before they'll get packed and shipped, I've allowed myself a little fooling around with the cars. I've kept using the plural in my description, as there's also a sedan version to go along. If you like this one, keep your eyes peeled for the sedan but even more, for a lot of action in Xenomurphy's
"Arkham Asylum"!
