During my recent trip to Mirror Lake in the Uinta Mountains, I stopped at the Upper Provo Falls. I had no idea this waterfall existed but I discovered it is one of the prettiest sites in Utah. Caught this long exposure shot as the sun was going down in the trees right over the falls. Beautiful place.

While walking along the Provo River this weekend, I spotted this tree with especially bright red and yellow leaves. They were so brightly colored, when looking up at the tree it almost appeared to be on fire with the leaves serving as the flames. Great autumn colors.

This is another view of the Christmas light display
at the University Mall in Orem, Utah. Different
colored trees surround the space and in the
background are light up blocks and balls that kids
can play with and push around. I made the contrast
high on this picture so the lights stand out against
the black background of the night sky.

This is the new lighted fountain outside the University Mall in Orem Utah. I wanted to capture what the water spouts and lighting looked like in front of a snow covered Timpanogos Mountain in the background. With a relatively long exposure, I think the colored-water effect looks best right around dusk. Kind of gives the appearance of an erupting volcano.

Here is one more view of the ice formations at the Ice Castles display in Midway, Utah. These ice stalactites hang over all the walkways and passageways, which can create an unnerving view if you look up and imagine a few chunks breaking off.
