Well, this is nothing like the real colour but it is so beautiful I decided to keep it just like that.

the colour here is fairly close to reality although I think it is actually darker and richer than shown. I think the flash reflected off of tiny artifacts in the petals to give the effect shown. Not good composition, must have another try.

It's first blooming since planting last year. I have to do some more shots of it as the sun seems to have bleached out the deep colour of this beautiful iris. It's an intermediate height and as you can see the beard is the same colour as the falls. I have to do some more shots of it anyhow as the background is distracting.
