Höfði is the guest house of the Icelandic capital Reykjavík.
The second summit meeting between US President Ronald Reagan and the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU Mikhail Gorbachev took place here on 11./12. October 1986. Both states were in the midst of the Cold War. The talks centred on disarmament and peace between the United States and the Soviet Union.

Beide Staaten befanden sich im Kalten Krieg. Im Mittelpunkt der Gespräche stand die Abrüstung und der Frieden zwischen den Vereinigten Staaten und der Sowjetunion.
