R Tower sat in East Pittsburgh, PA, controlling a four track crossover. This was where traffic patterns returned to 'normal' after passing through Pitcairn - R did the opposite of what CP Tower did to the east. The eastbound Aerotrain rockets by R Tower in the mid 1950s, passing through the interlocking and under the iconic Westinghouse Bridge. R would survive until the early 70s, when it and its eastbound counterpart CP would be taken out of service.
