Possibly South American Common Toad - Bufo typhonius. I had been searching in thick terra firma tropical forest at Jatun Sacha Reserve near to Tena for a calling bird high up in the canopy but it turned out to be this toad at my feet.

The frogs were not cooperating at all on this trip. This was the best I could manage.

The path through the reserve was more a stream than path resulting in loads of small frogs, but getting a photo was difficult.
