The penciled-in notation seems to indicate that John F. Auch's marble and granite works was actually located on Union Street north of its intersection with High Street. In 1898, A. H. Luckenbill purchased the works from Auch's estate and later moved it about a block farther north on Union Street. In 1951, Russel Gingrich purchased what was then known as Luckenbill Monuments, and the business continues today in Middletown at 568 N. Union Street as Gingrich Memorials.
