So far this year I only have this one Siskin visiting the feeders. It's very odd and the female Bullfinch is a single too. Maybe when it gets colder more birds will appear.

This particular male always has feathers in disarray a bit of a Boris Johnson of the bird world.
Of course he's a bit of a favourite being so easily recognisable.

Female Bullfinch, no males about despite this bird calling all over the wood.
Still trying to get the Canon EOS R7 to focus where I want it to, tried AF-ON button today, but the focus still bounces all over the place. I have no doubt it's user error, 'if at first you don't succeed....' and all that.

Jay is a bit of a wuzz. He has a new peanut log custom made so he can come in and out quickly to grab peanuts.
It's right in front of the pole he's on and he did eventually land and grab one peanut then dashed off.
He will learn he's safe.
My friend down the lane does fire a shot to scare them off so the reluctance is understandable.
All the other birds were less reluctant.
