This weeks Sliders Sunday image is a piece of digital art created from two of my original images. It is called “Two Suns in the Sunset” and is inspired by the Pink Floyd track of the same name. “Two Suns in the Sunset” is the last track on Floyd’s 1983 album The Final Cut (a much underrated, and I think quite possibly my favourite Floyd album).

“Two Suns in the Sunset” refers to the glowing fireball of a nuclear explosion.

“Finally I understand the feelings of the few.
Ashes and diamonds
Foe and friend
We were all equal in the end.”

Pink Floyd never performed ”Two Suns in the Sunset" live but Roger Waters premiered the song live almost 35 years after its release in a concert from the Us + Them Tour in October 2018 in Brazil.

Waters and his band have also just released an excellent live, socially-distanced version on Youtube, Two Suns in the Sunset.
