Manchmal zaubert das Morgenlicht eine träumerische Atmosphäre und dann gibt es nichts Schöneres als zuzuschauen und zu träumen.

Sometimes the morning light conjures up a dreamy atmosphere and then there is nothing better than watching and dreaming

It was one of those moments that I can't get over when we stood in front of this bridge (Rainbow Bridge) on the first evening after arriving of our trip to Japan as night fell over Tokyo. I so desperately wanted an atmosphere like this over a city that seems endless to me and that never sleeps. I could still feel the jet lag and was a little unsteady on my feet, but I didn't want to miss this sight and it gave me new strength that literally inspired me that evening. We spent two nights in Tokyo at the beginning of our trip to be able to deal with this jet lag better, because our hotel was not far from the airport. This night, which quickly fell over Tokyo, was simply fantastic and so beautiful. Everything fit together and last but not least, just before we were about to leave, these small illuminated boats came and decorated the area around the Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo with their colorful lights. What a sight, what a gift. This amazing looking bridge was one of my biggest wishes for Tokyo, a city full of surprises and vibrant life even at night. But it seemed to me that the nights in Tokyo had a calmer, more peaceful atmosphere, especially because of the many lights and colors that even lit up the night sky a little. At least that's how it seemed to me. I will remember this one night fondly, because one of my big dreams and wishes came true on this location. Although I'm not really a fan of big cities - I avoid them wherever possible - the sight of the Rainbow Bridge fascinated me immensely and I was even able to enjoy a few moments in silence in this city of millions. How strange the world is sometimes and full of big and small surprises hehe...

Well, our trip through Japan – the most friendly country I know - was full of moments of happiness. That's how I felt from the beginning, because many encounters and experiences seemed to me as if someone was guiding us with a kind hand. The weather during these two weeks was simply a dream. Sunshine and warm temperatures made it so much easier for us and we enjoyed every moment in the land of the rising sun. Even in the big cities like Tokyo, Hiroshima or Osaka I felt very comfortable and above all absolutely safe. The great kindness of the Japanese people always put a smile on my face and I was amazed so many times at how helpful and patient they were with all of us. That alone was more than worth a trip to Japan. The many friendly encounters with people filled my heart with so much joy. In addition, the whole trip was very well organized by my eldest son and his lovely Japanese wife, which made things so much easier for us and without whose help we would probably still be at a train station somewhere in a big city.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank both of them for their fantastic work. I will tell you more about them in the following pictures from our trip through Japan and of course about their wonderful wedding.

In the meantime, I hope that you, my dear friends, enjoy the night picture of Tokyo and have a little patience with me until the next photo, which I have to choose with some effort from the over 1200 pictures that I took in the two weeks we enjoyed Japan.
