Sunflower field near Münstermaifeld a week ago today. The region around the small town of Münstermaifeld is called "Maifeld".

Sonnenblumenfeld bei Münstermaifeld heute vor einer Woche. Die Region um die kleine Stadt Münstermaifeld nennt man "Maifeld".

*Swan Church @ The Miracle of Light*

Not a landscape today, but a gem in the East Eifel, photographed yesterday morning as a panorama with 7 vertical images:
The Swan Church in the small community of Roes. It stands in an open field outside the village and was completely destroyed in the worldwar (1944).
After the new building around 1952, the inside of the church was painted white.
The new stained glass windows were intended as emergency glazing at the time.
But because the light was generally fascinating, especially when the sun was shining, in red, blue and golden yellow, the windows were retained, see for yourself what it looks like.

Heute mal keine Landschaft, sondern ein Kleinod in der Osteifel, gestern Vormittag als Panorama mit 7 vertikalen Bildern fotografiert:
Die Schwanenkirche in der kleinen Gemeinde Roes.
Sie steht auf einem freien Feld außerhalb des Ortes und wurde im Krieg 1944 völlig zerstört.
Nach dem Neubau ca. 1952 wurde die Kirche innen weiß gestrichen.
Die neuen Buntglasfenster waren damals als Notverglasung gedacht.
Doch weil das Licht besonders bei Sonnenschein in Rot, Blau und Goldgelb allgemein faszinierte, wurden die Fenster beibehalten, seht selbst, wie es wirkt.

Last Sunday at the Rodder Maar in the East Eifel near Niederdürenbach.

The yellow floating-heart or fringed water-lily (Nymphoides peltata) is currently blooming extensively on the water surface of the renatured Rodder Maar (which had dried up around 20 years ago).

Letzten Sonntag am Rodder Maar in der Osteifel bei Niederdürenbach.

Auf dem Wasserspiegel des renaturierten Rodder Maar (war bis vor ca. 20 Jahren ausgetrocknet) blüht zur Zeit großflächig die Europäische Seekanne oder Teichkanne (Nymphoides peltata).
