*Alpsee and two castles*

Looking back at an autumn hike around the Alpsee in Ostallgäu/Bavaria/Germany.
At the southwest end of the lake you have a great view of the two royal castles Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein.

Rückblick auf eine Herbstwanderung um den Alpsee im Ostallgäu.
Am südwestlichen Ende des Sees hat man einen tollen Blick auf die zwei Königsschlösser Hohenschwangau und Neuschwanstein.

*Geroldsee in der Morgendämmerung*

When I arrived at the lake at 6:45 a.m. the first drops of rain were already falling, luckily there was no wind. Dark clouds rolled in from the west, while towards sunrise a colorful sky appeared, true to the motto "Morning red @ bad weather looming".
There were different and photogenic lighting moods for almost an hour. The picture above was one of the first photos of the morning (7:00 a.m.).
I lasted an hour, then the photographer and camera were wet...

Als ich um 6:45 Uhr am See ankam fielen bereits die ersten Regentropfen, zum Glück war es windstill. Von Westen zogen dunkle Wolken auf, während sich gegen Sonnenaufgang ein farbenprächtiger Himmel zeigte, frei nach dem Motto "Morgenrot @ Schlechtwetter droht".
Fast eine Stunde lang hatte es unterschiedliche und fotogene Lichtstimmungen. Das Bild oben war eines der ersten Fotos dieses Morgens (7:00 Uhr). Eine Stunde hielt ich durch, dann waren Fotograf und Kamera nass...

*Gerats waterfall after heavy rain*

A rainy day in the Allgäu seemed like a good opportunity to see the otherwise much-visited Gerats waterfall. Apparently it had rained heavily before because the water was a muddy color. Access to the bottom for a better shooting position was very slippery and wind caused a brownish spray (not good for the camera and lens), so I only shot from above.

Ein regnerischer Tag im Allgäu schien uns günstig, um den sonst viel besuchten Geratser Wasserfall anzusehen. Offenbar hatte es vorher stark geregnet, weil das Wasser eine schlammige Farbe aufwies. Der Zugang nach unten für eine günstigere Aufnahmeposition war sehr rutschig und Wind verursachte eine bräunliche Gischt (nicht gut für Kamera und Objektiv), so dass ich nur von oben fotografierte.
