The Wave at North Coyote Buttes in northern Arizona, near the Utah border, was one of the landscapes I saw in National Geographic some 20 years ago and wanted to see for myself. It should then last until 2006.
Meanwhile, my first of four visits has been more than 10 years old. And every time I was fortunate enough to get a permit in the internet lottery.
Only when looking at the pictures at home did I discover on the left a small lizard on the vertical rock face, which unfortunately could only be seen on a single picture of this day.
Die Wave in den North Coyote Buttes im nördlichen Arizona nahe der Grenze zu Utah war eine der Landschaften, die ich vor etwa 20 Jahren in der National Geographic sah und irgendwann unbedingt selbst sehen wollte. Es sollte dann noch bis 2006 dauern.
Inzwischen liegt mein erster von vier Besuchen mehr als 10 Jahre zurück. Und jedes mal hatte ich das Glück, in der Internet-Lotterie ein Permit zu bekommen.
Erst bei der Sichtung der Bilder zu Hause entdeckte ich links einen kleinen Lizard an der senkrechten Felswand, der leider nur auf einem einzigen Bild dieses Tages zu sehen war.
