Kirkjufellfoss Waterfall and Church Mountain stay over in West Iceland on our road trip round Iceland.
The above photo of Kirkjufell known as the 'Church Mountain' and the beautiful waterfall was taken as Sunset approached. The sun appeared for a few moments between the clouds and the brow of hill from what had been a very cloudy afternoon. The break as the sun appeared briefly helped to create a sunburst shaped what seems to me like an eye - a natural magic moment.

Drove for 7 hours to reach this location across boulders and fords in a hired 4X4 - not cheap and with a long drive -
but worth it!

taken on a beach that had 'Sneaky Waves' warning notice, so stood on a rock to keep out of harms way to capture this. So easy to get distracted with the photography and get struck by a sneaky wave and carried off to sea :)
