View on Mullafossur and Gásadalur a remote village with a small population (11 residents in the 2020 poll), which was only connected by road in 2004 from building a tunnel through the mountain, otherwise the village supplies came from the Postman's Path around the coastline, or delivered via a dangerous slipway by boat and then, what can only be described as a scary staircase up the cliff, now with signs banning descent to the sea landing area.
