i was doing that show schematic in the romanesque manner and i saw something- that the PLAN of the art center, at least as i had modified it with that window cut through, was ANALOGOUS to the PLAN of the the tympanum at vezelay itself (see right)- i mean the way the head of christ in judgement cuts the arcs of biblical story scenes- thats kind of the way the transfer image interrupts all the rest of the preparatory work.
