Utah! It's where a sweep of trees fill the vision in an otherwise desolate arena. Where rather than an overwhelming opulence of color stretching miles upon miles in every nock and cranny, there's a highlight here and there, mostly nestled in washes and canyons, struck upon the high mountains like paint or shade for a home surrounded by fields of sage. Sure, because of this colors rarity, it is not so rare. It sticks out like red on a black and white image.
Similarly, while Utah is so filled with protected wonders, from the slick rock to towers, so much that is still wild and free, it is like the Cottonwoods in autumn. While their color attracts the eye, they are not everywhere and not so numerous as you would think.
