Yesterday I managed to tag glacier 198 with my friend Colton Jacobs, tagging my first glacier of the season and the 2nd easiest glacier I have remaining!!! Conditions were perfect...err...not perfect. A millimeter of ice on everything, 3000 feet of just enough snow to make finding your way awesomely in-awesome (but not skiable), and lots of creek/river crossings. The good, I tagged the Sloan Glacier, skied 3000 feet of powder (okay, okay powder on the glacier and a mix of pow and rocks below...I'd make a terrible salesman) and got a nice dark-thirty semi-swim on the way out in 25 degree temps, you know, to clean up before the drive, so a good thing. Oh, and thanks again for coming Colton. What are you doing next week ;) ???
