A failed attempt at getting something to eat out as everywhere was full or office parties. So a kebab on the way home from the pub then!

A failed attempt at Parkamoor today. There was too much sheet ice to really consider the descent especially as I was riding solo (and the Mountain Rescue helecopter was acting as something of a reminder of how risky it would be).

In the end I turned around and headed back down the hill the way I went up. It was a great descent in it's own right mind, and fortunately there was less ice under the tree cover!

Taken from near Grange in Borrowdale looking up Derwentwater towards Keswick in the distance. The first snow of the year (at a low level) was sitting in the central Lakes, but suprisingly there was none in the North Lakes today!

Taken on Crosby Ravensworth Fell this afternoon looking towards the M6 and the Lakeland Fells. There was just a dusting of snow on the fell, but a bitingly cold wind.
