Stoneside Hill looking out onto the Irish Sea. The smudge on the horizon is the Isle of Man, and another smudge which is just out of frame to the right is Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.

I love coming over this brow and seeing the sea ahead.

The cumulation of Dakota's Birthday celebrations today! Pressies, home-made birthday cake (which was very, very tasty) and a unicorn balloon.

The run up involved a trip to see Santa at the zoo, loads of animals, hand feeding leemurs and girraffes, a very teeny steam train and a lot of big cats, monkeys, scary birds, capybaras, wolves and a couple of random ant eaters. Oh... and a spot of ice skating.

I think she has enjoyed herself!
