The falls at Sunny Bank near Torver in the Lake District. It was down around -7 C last night and for the first time I managed to get to this spot without getting my feet soaked as a result!

Roki is sad that his friends have gone home... but at least he has a fire and a nice warm bed!

Ed has been to the vet today, I wasn't entirely expecting him to come home as he has been loosing mobility and weight at a rapid rate the last week or two.

He is asleep on the sofa, purring away and quite happy though - the vet thinks he may be suffering a degenerative brain condition, but as she said, he is old for a Maine Coon and so long as he is happy and not suffering there isn't much she can really do for him. We have a bottle of pain killers to try and keep him mobile and comfortable and will see how he goes.

Ed has been with me through a lot, the worst and best that life has thrown at me - and is so very much part of the family. I ain't ready for him to go yet - and I don't think he is either by the looks of things.
