A bit of a dank day today, Skara Brae started us off followed by Skaill House then back to base via Quoyloo for some supplies (liquid). On the way back from buying dinner at CoOp in Stromness I had a mini detour to grab a shot of the bridge and house at Bridge of Waithe!

Typically the sun is coming out now!

This scene brings back so many memories of The Bu!

This was my one and only photograph today, I was going to head out tonight but I am beat... we managed to go to the pool today so at least got out to entertain the boys for a bit. Tomorrow we have some adventures planned though as I have itchy feet and a workshop to finish planning!

This is, in many ways, the crucible of my life. The Broch of Gurness was both the place that really made a massive impression on me when I was young and pushed me into archaeology, but also the place that I really started to explore photography as something more than just taking snap shots.
