It's been a strange old day today, weather wise. A glorious sunrise (which I was too busy to shoot) descended into a bit of a dark day with a milky sky and occasional warm tones as the sun tried, and failed, to break through. This was one such moment heading back from Beauly towards the Culnakirk.

Sun sets on a cold November afternoon. We have a weather warning for snow and ice overnight so who knows what tomorrow will bring!

I was just looking at the map of this piece of land that extends behind the house - it is boundered to the south by Glen Morriston and the north by Glen Affric and leads straight in to the Five Sisters of Kintail... now that is quite some back yard is it not?

Somewhere hiding in this photograph is Morag, our cat, who went missing for 8 months, returned for a few days... escaped... came back 3 days later and stayed 4 days then went off again! Perhaps the snow will drive her back home.
