The first of March and it started bright and cold, despite the sun having some warmth building in it now - the air is still cold and we had a fairly substantial overnight frost.

These trees stand in Glenmoriston and this morning they were catching those early sunrays beautifully turning the frost into tiny jewel like water droplets that reflected and refracted the warm golden light.

Today has been about working with Sam to create some product shots in the Loch Ness area! Since the products are wool based some of the photographs were created on a sheep farm!

The edits are taking quite some time - I think I am managing 20 minutes per shot at the moment so am heavily culling down the 308 taken!

They are looking rather good though!

This is the sheep farm though, not Sam.

Today is the 200th Anniversary of the RNLI, so to celebrate the occasion today's photograph is our Atlantic 85, the "Sheila & Dennis Tongue IV", based on Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland.

The lost remains of an old croft house sit high on the hillside above Glen Convinth between Drumnadrochit and Kiltarlity, it's name long fogotten as it wasn't recorded on the 1875 OS Maps or in any documentation I can find. Today it sits beside a hill track up to a mobile phone mast.
