Today I found myself marooned waiting to see if a key would show up next door to somewhere I have been looking at on a map for quite some time. The old chapel at St Brighs on the northern side of the Cromarty Firth... could I find it though... not a chance! I took this photo of the more modern structure in the interim, but when I go back I am hoping to find what remains (if anything) of the old building.

Today we popped down to Urquhart Castle to meet up with Taz and family, Angus was desperate to run around the castle for a bit too and also have a go with the telescope to see if Nessie was about....

No sightings today.

A couple of the ducks out in the undergrowth as I cleaned out their and the chickens coops this afternoon.

Just starting to rebuild a new Lightroom Catalogue having moved all my data to a new drive yesterday... you know things are picking up when your 4Tb SSD is growning at the seams! Second 4Tb added, hopefully that should see me through the next 18 months!

The humidity today has been crazy... so much so that it has been causing my lenses to fog internally, which made photographing houses a REAL challenge!

Fortunately by the point it got really bad I was working on a really nicely presented place that suited a bit of a dreamlike vibe. The fogging really peaked as I hit the bedrooms so rather than fight it I just upped the white balance a touch and went for an arty approach instead! The client wants the house on the market as soon as possible so if this doesn't work for them I will have to reshoot - but at least they have something to start marketing with!
