Evening light and a fragment of rainbow above Urquhart Bay, Drumnadrochit.

No Nessie. Or Daisy as Angus seems to have renamed her....

The humidity today has been crazy... so much so that it has been causing my lenses to fog internally, which made photographing houses a REAL challenge!

Fortunately by the point it got really bad I was working on a really nicely presented place that suited a bit of a dreamlike vibe. The fogging really peaked as I hit the bedrooms so rather than fight it I just upped the white balance a touch and went for an arty approach instead! The client wants the house on the market as soon as possible so if this doesn't work for them I will have to reshoot - but at least they have something to start marketing with!

This old funeral home in Inverness is so iconically Victorian that I don't think I can come up with a finer example of that periods relationship with death than this place!

Today was a rarity for this last couple of weeks it seems... because I was actually local!

Even the trees, ferns and bracken seem to have decided that this summer that never was is officially over. The leaves are starting to head from greens to golds throughout the Highlands, particularly the rowan, beech and birch at the moment.
