A rather chunky looking Realtoy Ford Bronco II copy by the Chinese toy company Mei Sheng. Neither this or the Realtoy original were licensed castings so you can probably forgive it for its rather simplistic looking front panel and Big Foot sized wheels and ride height. An acceptable face of budget diecast collecting with a decent finish and fairly robust quality.

Despite Mei Sheng making some fairly decent copies of other manufacturers licensed castings it seems for some reason they have opted for a generic model for their Fire Engine. That Euro-bland cab appears to be a simplified version of the one used by Maisto. Not horrendously futuristic or unbelievable, just one which doesn't appear to be based on anything real. Since discovered the Maisto original is most likely based on an old Mercedes-Benz LN.
A typical budget effort with a high use of plastic and charming old fashioned paper stickers used for its decals.

My interest in collecting cheapo Chinese diecasts means I get to discover new and pretty obscure brands and models. Not all of course are as nice as an equivalent Matchbox or Welly for example but it does mean an interesting range and some charming copies. This is the second Mei Sheng Crown Victoria I have managed to find and I love the fact it is a blatant copy of the Realtoy version though of course this is of slightly less quality. Part of a four vehicle set bought directly from China. Mint and boxed.

As this is an unlicensed casting I am guessing this based on an older Dodge Durango but i'm not 100%. Made by the pretty unknown toy maker of Mei Sheng it is of pretty acceptable quality, certainly no worse than say something HTI would make. Part of a five vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

Judging by other Mei Sheng this is probably actually copied from the Realtoy GMC Sierra but that of course was copied by the original Matchbox version. This tow truck has been copied by quite a lot of obscure Chinese toy makers with varying degrees of success and to be fair this Mei Sheng example is pretty ok with a crisp casting and legible Police livery.
