Looking a bit like something you'd find in a Kinder Egg but actually noticeably bigger is this Toy State Nissan 370Z. This isn't some cheeky cheapo unlicensed effort either, those 370Z graphics are there because its a fully approved Nissan product. Made by Toy State its part of a surprisingly large range of small 1/76 scale plastic models which you have to build yourself. We arnt talking Airfix type complexities either thank heavens, just click and snap into place its wheels, baseplate, blacked out windows and decals. Fun, if you discount some of the more tricky decals, and an interesting alternative to the predictable HW and HTI stuff sold at Sainsbury's. Mint and boxed.

Made by Toy State this small plastic Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is decidedly crisp and well cast which isn't too surprising as its a fully licensed product hence its realism and "Wrangler" and "Rubicon" decals skilfully applied by my own fair hands! ;-)
Obviously not HW or MBX size or quality but should keep kids and parents amused building them :-)

Where Muscle Car meets cute toy, this little plastic Dodge Viper SRT is certainly no Hot Wheels but is licensed and can be had with or without these decals. The choice is yours whether to affix them or not ;-)
Its of course another Snap & Play model available from Toy State which comes in a basic kit form and can be easily assembled even by the likes of me. Part of a two vehicle set currently available in Sainsbury's where they are sold under their own Auto City brand. Mint and boxed.

Im not used to having to finish off the completion of a diecast purchase. I avoid adult aimed kits like the plague due to my terrible D.I.Y. skills but even I'm able to construct the new Toy State produced Snap & Play models now appearing at Sainsbury's ;-p
They come in sets of two with purchasers having to apply the already supplied stickers, wheels, baseplate and interior glazing. They are made purely from robust plastic and are more like 1/76 in their size but the most surprising thing of all is that they are all fully licensed castings. It probably explains the overall accuracy of this modern Ford Mustang GT and the fact it comes with tiny TINY GT badges which can only be realistically applied with tweezers!

Sainsbury's recently had a toy aisle reset no doubt in readiness for the festive countdown but if you are expecting to find anything decent then you might be disappointed. Its the usual predictable HTI generics mixed in with peg warming Hot Wheels sub series, very dreary and very unimaginative!
The only glimmer of hope for a lover of the cheap and interesting like my good self is a range of approximately 1/76 scale licensed models made by Toy State. They are made entirely of plastic and have to be easily constructed yourself right down to wheels and labels. This Jeep Wrangler Rubicon features in a few of these sets, its no Matchbox of course but as mentioned its a fully licensed product hence its crisp accurate body and official branding on the labels provided. Part of a two vehicle set using Sainsbury's own Auto City branding. Mint and boxed.
