A trip to Spain wouldn't be complete without me returning home with some Chinese bazaar sourced models from yet another toy company i'd never heard of before! ;-p
An Easter monday trip to the town of Vilanova which is just one train stop up from Sitges revealed all shops to be completely closed for the day except restaurants and of course Chinese bazaars which never seem to adhere to religious festivals!
Only one came "good" with any buyable 1/64 diecasts and they all appear to have been produced by a company called Shengchi Toys. All trucks and all based on either this International 4000 Series styled cab or one which takes its inspiration from a Kenworth T600, they also appear to be copies of a copy of a copy of a copy etc....
Quite clearly its designed to be resolutely cheapo forsaking even glazed windows and being constructed mainly of plastic apart from its cab but yet to me at least, it looks fairly believable and satisfyingly crisp.
Mint and boxed.

Despite having a flat in the stunning Spanish coastal resort of Sitges and the ensuing regular visits, my collection is hardly awash with Guisval models. That part of Spain is known for its masses of Chinese bazaars and so most of my visits involve returning home with cheapo Chinese diecasts like this.
Made by Shengchi Toys and is a copy of a copy of a copy, it appears to use a cab design loosely based on an International 4000 Series. Pretty crude as you'd expect with no glazing and a mainly plastic body but there are flashes of painted detailing and a fully extending ladder. Found in a Bazaar in the town of Vilanova which is a very short train ride up from Sitges. Mint and boxed.

Scores of different Chinese toy makers make their own very similar looking versions of this International 4000 Series based truck, many even copying the same colours and liveries. Rather charming in a simple chunky kind of way with silver painted lights and grille and an unexpected German themed DFSI Feuerwehr livery. Made by a company who call themselves Shengchi Toys and found recently in a Spanish Chinese bazaar. Mint and boxed.

Well yes, it certainly is a truck but is it a "Tanke" one wonders? ;-)
Tanke or no Tanke, this rather basic and cheapo diecast truck appears to be based on a Kenworth T600. Made by Shengchi Toys it follows that well trodden path of so many obscure Chinese toy makers as it appears to be a copy of many other peoples castings, never licensed of course, with the same generic type of wheels and crudely cast cab. Ironically for such a low level item I can't help taking my eyes off its front grille and headlights, so intricate and boldly printed!
Found in a Chinese bazaar in the coastal Spanish town of Vilanova back in April. Mint and boxed.

Another body variation used on the Kenworth T600-esque type cab used by Shengchi Toys and in fact a great deal of other Chinese toy makers too! Designed and sold to be nothing more than a cheap disposable toy, its build quality is as expected with a great deal of plastic used. Its rear digger mechanism is moveable though at this price that rear control cab ain't moving but does look fairly believable.
Found in a Chinese bazaar for which there are a great many in Spain back in April. Mint and boxed.
