Although not really a common sight here in the U.K. anymore, Sohbi are a toy manufacturer very much like Pioneer in that they produce a sizeable range of pretty realistic but unlicensed models in the same colours and styles year after year after year. This Porsche 959 is typical of their output with its realistic and well cast body which is covered in eye catching liveries and fake logos. Its lights have been painted on, it features an interior and also sports a surprisingly attractive set of wheels too. Its only downside as can be clearly seen in the picture is that its axles just arn't up to the job of keeping this weighty body level. Part of a 15 vehicle JYToys branded set bought from Korea. A van so beloved of Chinese toy makers since the 1970's is the Ford Econoline and infact the 1970's version of that van is still produced by a good few manufacturers. One of the nicest surely has to be the ones made by Sohbi with their silver effect wheels and well finished bodies. This Fire Dept version is made specifically for the Korean market and is part of a 15 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

I would still appreciate anyones help in identifying the real vehicle this model is based on. It features in a Korean diecast set which mainly contains Sohbi produced castings. Because of its mainly Korean script I have no idea whether this Long branded van is meant to be some kind of postal vehicle, maybe someone can shed some light on this. The model itself is well finished and well cast with attractive wheels and detailed external features. Part of a 15 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

Even in 2016 the venerable 1970's Ford Econoline van still features in some Chinese produced toy ranges and will probably continue to do so for many more years! This is the Sohbi version and has indeed been around for a good few decades though later ones like this benefit from better looking wheels and better applied livery detailing. Its a nice angular casting with crisp detailing and is finished in what appears to be a Korean Ambulance colours. Part of a 15 vehicle Korean specific set sold under the JYToys name. Mint and boxed.

JYToys is a Korean toy maker who appear to have used various Sohbi castings for their Korean themed Emergency vehicles. The models themselves arn't too bad, not licensed but certainly better than your average cheapo Chinese stuff. This Mercedes-Benz SL coupe has almost a Corgi Juniors look about it with nicer looking wheels and of course this Korean Police livery is a major novelty in my collection. Part of a 15 vehicle set bought directly from Korea. Mint and boxed.
