That is a quote from the Solido website and highlights why they have historically been known for their larger scale models only! They wouldn't think it an odd scale if they visited my attic! Grrrrr! LOL
It is true that in many European countries 1/64 diecasts are still considered to be "toys" which is why the selection found here pales in comparison with say America or the Far East and why the god awful HTI generics have taken such a foothold in the market! All I can say is Solido please persevere with this scale as judging by this new VW Karmann Ghia you are doing one hell of a great job!
Its a truly exquisite little number, nothing too flash or ostentatious, just a beautiful replica of this classic VW coupe with delicate features and the right balance of detailing and factory accurate two tone colour scheme. Very Norev looking in its construction and definitely aimed at the more adult collector. A brand which I will be keeping a closer eye on in future.
