With most probably now dispatched to the scrapyard its easy to forget how popular the first generation Daewoo Matiz was here in the U.K. when it was launched back in the late 1990's! Cute styling, a very impressive warranty package and generous equipment endeared it to the public but strangely they are very rarely seen in model form. This one is made in China by Bingo Toys and although its an unlicensed casting it captures the styling of the MK1 Matiz perfectly. For a cheapo model its also pretty well detailed and comes complete with an interior. I first bought one of these back in 2006 in exactly the same colour and ten years later I managed to get the exact same one directly from China from exactly the same eight vehicle set which obviously shows things don't change too much in the Bingo Toys range! You wouldn't expect to see the same MBX or HW casting being made continually for ten years or more especially in exactly the same colour but it seems normal practice for a lot of Chinese toy makers. I bought an identical one of these Toyota RAV-4 models back in 2006 and here in 2016 I got another one directly from China. Made by Bingo Toys its a fairly decent little model of an older style RAV-4 complete with two tone finish and an exceptionally glittery metallic colour! Part of an eight vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

Quite possibly the only 1/64 scale model we will ever see of the odd looking but hugely successful Daewoo Matiz city car. I believe this was made by a Chinese company called Bingo Toys though there are no identifying marks on either the packaging or model. Bought in Tenerife in 2006. Mint and boxed.

Apart from the obvious lack of a VW badge due to its unlicensed status this is a decent if predictable little model of the VW New Beetle by Bingo Toys. Its well finished with painted lights and an interior but nothing anyone hasn't seen from a million and one other toy makers. Part of an eight vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

I'm pretty certain the real vehicle was never officially imported into the U.K. but plenty of the oversized Mitsubishi Delicia MPV's came here in the "Unofficial Import" craze of the late 1990's when consumers finally voted with their feet at the massively inflated price of new cars compared to the rest of Europe. Made by Bingo Toys this is an unlicensed Delicia though the shape and size of the real vehicle has been captured pretty well. Part of an eight vehicle set. Mint and boxed.
