Clunky unrealistic HTI generic or for the same price a fully licensed and pretty sharp looking VW Golf MK6 GTI? Im pretty certain 99.9% would prefer the Golf yet U.K. shops are FULL of unloved and unwanted generics and things seem to be getting worse as each month passes! Would it really be so difficult for someone such as ASDA or The Entertainer to put these on their pegs, sell them at a reasonable price and keep stock levels well topped up!
Decontented to fit a low price but eminently still very acceptable this gleaming silver Golf is part of the RMZ City Juniors Collection which I managed to find a few of on the pegs of the Irish EuroGiant chain. Mint and boxed.

A thoroughly decent budget model of the ultra fashionable Range Rover Evoque by RMZ City for their low cost Juniors range. Maybe looking a tad over bodied thanks to its normal sized wheels and ride height it nonetheless is a solid looking little thing which has licensed realism on its side.
Bought recently from an Irish EuroGiant store.
Mint and boxed.

RMZ City is a fairly new diecast brand introduced by Uni-Fortune Toys which mainly encompasses 1/64 and 1/43 scales. They produce quite an extensive selection of 100% licensed modern vehicles and like Welly its mainly their larger stuff which sees the most shelf action here in the UK. Sadly its 1/64 range barely gets a look in though you can sometimes find them in smaller independent toy and souvenir shops who haven't yet succumbed to HTI generics. Most of their 1/64 castings come in three flavours, basic, premium and premium with pullback motors and its the basic "Junior" selection which you tend to find more often, this BMW M5 being one of them. The casting itself is assuringly accurate and well detailed but like many a Maisto and Matchbox there is no interior. Bought recently from a Toymaster in the seaside town of Cromer. Mint and boxed.

Until July of this year this is one RMZ City casting which eluded me even though I knew of its existence and one I was eager to find! Thankfully Modelmatic were selling them surprisingly cheaply and so I was able to buy quite a few of them in both this black colour and the white one too. At pocket money prices they offer some outstanding levels of detailing and realism and in my opinion this has to be the nicest 1/64 model i've seen of a Defender 110 and that even includes my favourite one by Matchbox. RMZ City is a pretty new brand in the marketplace and they appear to have gone to great lengths to make themselves known especially in the larger scales which can easily be found here in the U.K. Sadly that doesn't extend to its 1/64 range which doesn't seem to get a look in here in our stores which are still dominated by HTI and Mattel. Mint and boxed.

The holy grail of low cost diecast toy makers is most definitely gravitating towards Welly and RMZ City. Both companies produce some extraordinary realistic 1/64 models which are an absolute delight once out of their packaging and in your hands. This Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is made by RMZ City or more accurately Uni-Fortune Toys and is typical of the vehicles they produce i.e.. modern prestige brands usually of European descent and are incredibly well detailed and finished with this particular casting having clear plastic headlamps, sculptered interior and amazingly intricate looking wheels. Mint and boxed.
