Of course i'm not a fan of such tooned caricatures in miniature but when its based on a BMC vehicle then who am I to say no!
This super cute, super squashed looking BMC Mini is part of a new 1/64 range to hit the shelves of Poundland after several months of selling some pretty horrendous wooden and rubber Hot Wheels monstrosities. They are part of a small range of equally tooned classic vehicles such as the VW Beetle and 1950's Ford Thunderbird and are of surprisingly nice quality with attractive wheels and flawless paint jobs. No interiors but thats to hide their little pull back motors but cheeky enough to warrant buying just to put a smile on your face. The packaging says they are 1/64 but in reality they are much bigger though not as big as 1/43 which would put them out of my collecting zone. They are branded as TXA products but a quick look at the PO Box address given at the back reveals that this is just a Poundland in house brand. The actual Chinese maker remains a mystery.
Mint and boxed.

Poundland have gone back to doing what they used to and thats sourcing cheapo Chinese diecasts to sell under their made up in house brands. Many years ago it used to be Funtastic but the brand du jour at the moment is TXA which is coupled with Urban Blazerz.
This rather sporty little Police car appears to be based on an Audi R8 V10 though of course only loosely so as its totally unlicensed. It possibly might be made by Feisu who also make their Poundland branded DAF XF trucks but i'm totally none the wiser as no manufacturer would dare to put their name to this ;-p
Part of a new two vehicle set which has just begun to appear there. Mint and boxed.

The BMW i8 Roadster has only been released pretty recently yet here we have a cheapo replica already! Those Chinese certainly don't mess around! ;-p
The front end of this low end diecast certainly screams i8 where as everything after the front windscreen screams everything BUT an i8! ;-p. A typical unlicensed effort where quality and realism take a back seat but rather interesting in its own right. Ive not a clue who makes it, maybe Kaixin, but its part of the new Poundland TXA Urban Blazerz branded line up of diecasts. Part of a two vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

Poundland have had a much needed refresh of their diecast section recently. There are still awful wooden Hot Wheels to be found but for 1/64 fans there is a new selection of Maisto Fresh Metal singles and a some cheapo unbranded castings which are being sold under the fictitious Poundland brand of TXA.
Believe it or not I have no idea who makes this other than the toy manufacturer has clearly based it very heavily on a Lamborghini Aventador. Quality and realism is clearly not on the agenda here but one Pound gets you two vehicles in the Urban Blazerz Police Chase sets.
Mint and boxed.

I could be mistaken but I THINK there might just be a latest generation Honda NSX hiding under this extremely cheapo looking body and naff Police graphics, only the rear panels giving me much clue to its origins. Made by an unknown Chinese toy maker but sold in Poundland stores under their own TXA brand, it shows you don't get much for your Pound these days with ever rising costs. Cheap but can you say charming?
Part of a two vehicle set. Mint and boxed.
