I may yet not know what type of truck these Meiying Toys models are based on but clearly they offer plenty of play value for their pocket money price especially when they use plenty of moving parts like this Mobile Crane Truck. Its the same cab design used on all Meiying Toys models and is crisply cast and certainly impressively detailed especially around the front panel with a fully functioning crane at the rear. Definitely a market for this here in the U.K. which could easily be sold in any number of our high street discount stores but as yet i've only ever seen them on Chinese retail sites which is where this came from. Even if you arn't particularly a fan of the more obscure cheapo Chinese diecasts its hard not to be impressed by this 1/64 truck made by a company called Meiying Toys. Part of a reasonably extensive range of trucks which all share this as yet unidentified cab design its a hefty little thing which has a metal front part and robust plastic for the rear. Attention to detail is remarkable for its budget status with full painted exterior features and a realistic cargo rear which features the obligatory opening doors. Bought directly from China back in January 2017. Mint and boxed.

Such an impressive looking small scale and cheaply priced model truck deserves to be identified as being based on a real vehicle but so far i've not found anything which strongly resembles this cab design. I would be surprised if it was completely generic but its a confusing mixture of U.S. and Chinese influences so who knows! LOL
What I do know is that the Chinese toy company who makes it uses this cab for a whole host of different truck bodies, all of which are surprisingly realistic and robustly constructed including this petrol tanker. Great detailing on all four sides including a metal riveted effect tanker. Bought directly from China back in January 2017. Mint and boxed.

Even if you arn't necessarily a fan or collector of inexpensive off brand Chinese diecasts you may find it hard not to be impressed by the range of truck models made by a company I think is called Meiying Toys. For the same price as a Matchbox you get a highly detailed and well finished truck which contains far more than the silly four parts you'll find in your typical MBX. This petrol tanker is probably based on a real vehicle though i've yet to identify which one but either way its crisply cast with a modern bonneted style and plenty of painted features with even the rear plastic tanker given a metallic look finish with lots of individual moulded rivets. The identity of this truck still remains a mystery though I still cling to the hope that it isn't a totally generic design as that isn't the usual style of most Chinese toy makers no matter how obscure they may be. This cement mixing truck is made by Meiying Toys and is part of a very comprehensive range of 1/64 trucks which all share this cab design but which have been fully maximised by the use of various different body attachments. For a cheapo diecast it looks and feels pretty substantial with a highly realistic looking cement mixing barrel which naturally fully rotates and even tilts too. The cab is made of metal and benefits from a modern aerodynamic look complete with a detailed grille and painted lights and even an interior too. One of many in this range bought directly from China back in November 2016. Mint and boxed.
