In my collection alone, and that isn't including whatever else is out there, I have SEVEN different Chinese toy manufacturers who make their own copies of the Matchbox 2006 Fire Engine. Once one copies the original that then gets copied into oblivion by others who see absolutely no wrong in stealing other peoples ideas.
This one is made by a Chinese manufacturer who use the GLW brand and seems to have gone on a bit of a diecast diet with a much shortened cab design compared to the Matchbox original though interestingly they have added plastic headlights. Obviously designed to be a cheap low end diecast though it does pass European safety laws so not quite as flimsy as it may seem in my pic.

Its cab may have been severely shortened compared to the original, in fact a few Chinese toy makers have done the same with their versions, but its still clearly a copy of the still frequently used Matchbox 2006 Fire Engine casting. GLW have gone one better by actually giving theirs clear lense headlights.

Tian Hong, SunQ Toys, Tianna Toys and Xin Yu Toys all make their own interpretations of the original Matchbox Renault Master as well as this one by GLW. Unlike the MBX all the above cheapo copies have metal bodies, irony indeed, and they all ride on these old style sawtooth wheels often making identification quite difficult.
A rather simplified casting though the distinctive front end of the Renault Master is just about visible and it does possess an interior too.

Although it could be argued that the original Matchbox 2012 Ford Explorer was not a particularly great casting theres no denying this cheapo Chinese copy is much worse! They've taken the original casting and made it more crude crude, more plasticky and lacking in pretty much any detailing, even the distinctive headlights are almost invisible.
Made by a company who use the GLW initials its part of a line up made entirely of MBX copies and like so many others the old sawtooth style wheels.

I've no idea what the GLW stands for but they appear to be YET ANOTHER Chinese toy maker producing the same handful of Matchbox copies as so many others. Despite China advancing in so many ways the old tradition of simply copying a copy of a copy still remains and seems to be getting even more prevalent in their gigantic diecast industry.
With often only subtle differences between castings it can prove a nightmare in trying to identify unless you buy them in their original packaging or have prior knowledge. This Jeep Wrangler didn't come with any GLW branding, it was actually in a six vehicle set using the Spanish distributers name of Ousdy.
