Its now becoming the norm to see masses of Chinese toy manufacturers slavishly copy the products of Hot Wheels ranging from their "style" to their castings and even in extreme cases using the HOT WHEELS name and logo design!
This flame filled casting is undoubtably a copy of the 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II which in fairness they've done quite well though closer scrutiny reveals the casting accuracy and metal used isn't up to Mattel standards.
Part of a six vehicle set sold under the Xin Ka Er brand though as ever when it comes to Chinese knock offs its hard to determine whether they are the manufacturer or simply a trading company.

There was never anything funny about the original Hot Wheels 1971 Ford Mustang Funny Car, a casting so bad I think I literally have just the one in my collection! I suspect Mattel won't see the funny side either of Xin Ka Er making their own copy complete with brazen "HOT WHEELS" branding down both sides!

Cheapened Chinese copy of the Hot Wheels 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible which even takes further inspiration by the use of those legendary all over flames. Copying Hot Wheels is now more extensive than when many Far Eastern toy makers used Tomica and shows just what an unstoppable force this Worldwide brand is!
Possibly made by a company called Xin Ka Er, thats the name on the packaging, it fails to capture the iconic styling of the original Mustang thanks to a crudely cast body with very little detailing. Lots of nice chrome though! ;-p

Looks familiar? Well a very quick glance and your brain might be telling you its a Hot Wheels 1967 Chevrolet C-10 Pick-Up but further investigation reveals its a cheeky Chinese copy!
Made by, or at least sold under the Xin Ka Er brand, its part of a rather sizeable line of blatant Hot Wheels and indeed Matchbox copies with little regard for copyright laws, this casting still has the Chevrolet bowtie front badge! Lightweight metal and crudely cast features are the main giveaway but its paint is metallic and decent quality plus theres a generous quota of chrome too.

The original Hot Wheels 1957 Chevy has been a regular in the line up for literally decades and has clearly not gone unnoticed by Xin Ka Er who now produce their own knock off!
The HW casting has always been considered fairly simple and that has been replicated here though thats probably more to do with the execution Xin Ka Er give to all their models rather than something deliberate.
