I wanted to create a Western look for the evening. The key elements were a shirt worn outside the skirt, but secured around the waist with a wide belt, and a full length skirt filled out by full petticoats worn underneath it.

Wearing a very flared, silver maxi skirt. The material is quite light and so the skirt has beautiful movement when walking in it.

Tartan skirts like this generally cost a lot of money, but it is possible to find good value copies if you look hard enough :-)
