The superb east window of Holy Trinity, Churchover dating from 1918.

Christ is shown seated in Glory, flanked by the Archangels Raphael and Michael.

It is the work of Danish artist, Arild Rosenkrantz, who's best known work is the earlier swiriling Art Nouveau east window at Wickhambreaux, Kent. He was based largely in Britain, after spending a few years in New York (where the Wickhambreaux window was made, which shows much more American influence).

This window appears rather more influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement in it's use of line and rich materials (wonderfully richly coloured slab glass, so popular in Britain around this time).

A short biography of Rosenkrantz can be found here www.arildrosenkrantz.dk/uk/bio.html
