St Mary Magdalene's church lies a short distance to the north west of Kilby village up a quiet lane. It is quite an unassuming building, a single vessel crowned only by a bellcote and was built in 1858 to the design of an architect called Goddard. All the windows are narrow lancets and most appear to be plain glazed.

That's all I can say really, the church wasn't listed as taking part in Ride & Stride but being en route I thought I'd try anyway, and thus wasn't too surprised to find it locked. Clearly the norm here.

I was as much curious to come here for the name alone, Kilby having been the surname of my first ever best mate at school (lost touch long ago), I just never realised he'd had a village named after his family! ;-)
