Spotted a tree with an owl shape on its bark - classic pareidolia (shapes and faces found in nature). I converted to mono for the Monday challenge and no retouching to the owl shape was made.

Sorry, I have not been commenting over the Holiday and last couple weeks. I feel like I've been out on a limb being so busy with hosting family and other chores.

While out in the woods and brushy area looking for an owl - this Cardinal's movement caught my eye. Except for his bright colors the surround low light gave him a wonderful presence. The female was nearby but hiding behind the twigs.

Keeping with birds - I thought I would post an Eagle shot I took the other day. I have not hit the rivers yet for some good action/fishing shots, but these two are in my local town near the small dam. They weren't in a fishing mood while I was there - I waited over 1/2 hour and suddenly they took off downstream.
