Coldplay Concert at Osheaga 2009, Montreal with Fireworks in the backdrop and flying multi-coloured paper butterflies. Coldplay's 'Viva la Vida' concert occured at the same time as the Montreal International Fireworks Festival (L'International des Feux Loto-Québec) on August 1, 2009. The Osheaga Music & Arts Festival was held at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène island, and headlined by Coldplay and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Coldplay played in front of 35,000 Osheaga Crowd. Boy, it was a crowd. More photos coming soon.

London's Tower Bridge taken from the North Bank of River Thames at the crack of dawn. Most tourists mistakenly call this structure as the London Bridge (which is just next to it).
Click All Sizes to see bigger resolution. Looks much better then.
Suffering from jet lag after reaching London, I ended up walking 24.4 kilometers (39,000 steps) in a single day, thanks to no transportation after midnight. Later, saw the beautiful sunrise between the pillars of London Bridge.
Incidentally, this was the 666th photo on my new camera. Still, neither did the devil appear, nor did I get attacked by the sleeping hobos.

Sorry Eiffel Tower, I had to Giga Pixelize you. A gigapixel is 1 billion pixels! or 1000 Mega pixels. To put it in context, most cameras in the market are around 8 Mega pixels.
Open the image here and zoom in :
Eiffel Tower GigaPixelized
How it was made:
The image was constructed with about 230 zoomed-in photographs with overlapping portions . To prevent differences in shade, colour and focusing, the shutter speed, aperture, focus, ISO and White balance were kept fixed in manual mode. After an unsuccessful at stitching in GIMP, the photos were combined using gigapan sticher. Their site shows photos in flash, so easily zoomable.
Although my hotel was 900 meters from the Eiffel tower, I couldn't manage to go up in my 7 day visit. After reaching Paris, I caught a bad flu. The American medicines were no match for the artillery of French bacteria. So in the 7 day period, the only real tourism I did was a 2 hour bus ride. (Resting in bed most of the time). These photos were taken while waiting for the Hop-on-Hop-Off bus.

Hope the Aztec Gods don't see this picture.
During a trip to Mexico, the Yahoo gang went over to the Pyramid Of The Sun, the third largest pyramid in the world. The slope of the stairs along the giant monument is exactly 45 degrees - Total height = 233.5 feet while total steps = 235. Now that's called engineering!
Funny thing is, while returning back, the radio started playing 'Jump' from Van Halen. And then a week later, I saw Kanye West perform 'Touch The Sky'
