Concert Crowd at Osheaga 2009 festival, waiting for Coldplay. The Osheaga Music & Arts Festival was held at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène island, and headlined by Coldplay and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Lot of performers from the lineup were performing at the All Points West Festival 2009 a day before in New York City.

I have seen several concert crowds over the years (actually just 2 years), but the Osheaga Crowd beat others down to the ground. I badly under-estimated what 30 thousand meant on the first day, and ended up quiet far away from the stage. Though was slowly able to crawl my way to the middle. No doubt Coldplay can pull such big numbers easily.
Thankfully, this was not a heavy rock crowd, otherwise there would have been a huge stampede with people jumping, dancing and pushing. Not to mention people crowd surfing and doing stage jumps.
I am still figuring out a lot of gems in this photo. Put up a note if you find anything wacky.
Some of the artists I got to see included Coldplay, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jason Mraz, The Decemberists, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, Girl Talk, Rufus Wainwright, The Roots, The Stills, Tiga, Lykke Li and Elbow. That's it for this summer!

Concert crowd at Montreal Jazz Festival 2008's Bran Van 3000 Concert ( Festival International de Jazz de Montréal) , Place des Arts, Montreal, Canada on July 1st 2008. Stevie Wonder and Kool & the Gang are performing at the Jazz Fest 2009.
According the the Guinness Book Of World Records, Montreal Jazz Festival is the largest Jazz Fest in the world. With over 2 million attendants and around 650 shows spread over 13 days, this comes as no surprise.
In this photo, a concert crowd of over 100,000 people was waving simultaneously. Looks better in bigger size (Press All Sizes above the photo).

Billy Joel with the excited concert crowd. Taken at the Billy Joel Concert @ Bell Center , Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 23th April 2008. Elton John and Billy Joel are returning back to Montreal to perform their 'Face 2 Face' concert on 3rd June, 2009.
Although Billy Joel retired in 1993, after recording songs for 2 decades, he continues to charm sold out stadium crowds with his live concert performances. As per the RIAA, he's the sixth best selling artist in US (and with 150 Million+ albums worldwide), after The Beatles, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin and The Eagles.
Some memorable parts of the concert included Billy's revolving Piano, 'boxing' with the microphone and a throw-and-catch routine again with the microphone. Of course, I don't need to mention the parts where the crowd was louder than the sound system of the Bell Center, singing classics like Piano Man, Uptown Girl and 'We Didn't Start the Fire'
Billy also thanked the fans in the upper section, "Thanks for buying the cheap seats because all of our kids have to go to college".
