Carnegie Mellon Fence - Light painting "I Love VLIS" while the CMU Fence paint drys. Painted by students from the Masters in Very Large Information Systems Program.
As per Carnegie Mellon traditions, the fence can be painted only between midnight and sunrise. And to prevent others from painting over, the fence needs to be guarded. The original wooden fence is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the "most painted object in the world." The fence became so thick that in 1993, it collapsed under its own weight. Later it was replaced with a concrete fence which stands today. It's estimated that there are 4 inches of paint on the CMU Fence!
