The womens boat was also covered with sealskin and was used to move the family from winterhome to summerhome or to travel to the bigger town to sell the skins from the winer and buy a little cerosene, coffee and even some barley or rye to bake bread as a special treets.

I learned that you do noth have to go south of Cape Farewell to get from west to east in Greenland. The southern most part of Greenland is several islands with narrow straits. We sailed through one named Prins Christioan Sund from the west coast to the east coast of Greanland, Most narrow it was 500 m. and the mountains were arpund 1000 m.o.s.

Greenland - Aurora Borealis - Northeirn lights
It was a special experience to be sailing far from everything and get the Aurora on fire.
And I found out that it is not the best place for long exposure.
