Marble remains of the ornamental entry to the second, 5th Century church on this site (nothing remains of the first) that burned to the ground in 532 A.D. No further excavation was done so as not to undermine the current, 3rd church. The block on the left was carved with 12 lambs. Hagia Sophia -- 9/7/08
