Five photos posted just to record another quick drive out of the city, on 10 February 2023. I should have taken a photo of my car at the end of the day - totally covered in dried mud spray! Had no choice but to go to the car wash, as it was not really safe to be on the roads with a car that was about the same colour as the roads. Needed to be more visible.
Yesterday, 12 February, I made a longer drive, this time NE of Calgary. It was such a beautiful day and our weather forecast shows more snow coming soon. No luck with any owls, but I did find a number of barns that I had seen previously, and a couple of 'new' ones. Can't believe that I haven't even downloaded the photos yet.
The only birds I saw were a couple of Ravens and maybe three or four Common Magpies. Whenever I have been out this winter, the birds seem so few and far between. I have seen a Snowy Owl on four of my drives this winter, but only one of the owls gave me closer views. So thankful for that day.
