I'm not sure what this structure is. It stands in a farmer's field, so maybe it is protecting some other pipes.

On 12 February 2023, I made a longer drive, this time NE of Calgary. It was such a beautiful day and our weather forecast shows more snow coming soon. No luck with any owls, but I did find a number of barns that I had seen previously, and a couple of 'new' ones.

The only birds I saw were a couple of Ravens and maybe three or four Common Magpies. Whenever I have been out this winter, the birds seem so few and far between.

Starting on 18 February, we have a forecast for six days in a row of snow falling, accompanied by a plunge in temperature. However, spring is getting closer and closer!
