A very distant scene, on the far side of a large pond, absolutely MADE my day on 1 June 2024! I almost missed a beautiful Moose with her two babies, but, at the last minute, I happened to notice a brown 'blob' when all three animals were standing close together. They didn't look like cows, and when I zoomed in on my camera, what a great surprise I had. At such a great distance, I couldn't get sharp images with my point-and-shoot, and that's OK. Just so happy to sit in my car and watch this little family.

The day was spent along favourite roads, both SW and S of Calgary. Travelled further than I had planned, which was good. Called in at Ranchers Cafe part way through the day, for a delicious cheese burger and pan fries. Always a treat, as these are the only times that I ever eat burgers.
