I have not been getting out at all, so no new photos - until four days ago, 23 November 2022. Our parking lot was going to have the snow and ice removed in the afternoon, but apparently the equipment they brought was too large to be able to accomplish this task. As I don't have street parking, I had to kill a few hours, which usually means that I drive out of the city.
My drive took me S and SE of the city, which tends to be one of my often used route. I wasn't sure what the roads would be like, but the main roads were nice and clear and some of the back roads weren't too bad.
At this time of the year, one can always hope for a Snowy Owl, but I saw none today. However, I did come across a Great Horned Owl perched on a fence post, which took me by surprise. The first couple of photos, the owl had its back to me. When I got home, I discovered that the owl had turned its head to look at me in the following few photos. I was looking right into the sun, so couldn't see more than a dark silhouette.
On the way home, I called in at the Saskatoon Farm to get some take-out food and also to sit down and try and figure out how to look up Locksmiths on my barely-used iPhone and make a phone call. When I left home a few hours earlier, my front door lock broke and I couldn't open the door. A Locksmith pulled up just as I was arriving home and replaced the lock for me, thank goodness.
